Pizza Making

The summer months are always busy for us, especially as people enjoy the sunshine by sitting outside of the shop, front and back. But we have still found the time to run a free children’s activity on 1st August, making pizzas. Huge thanks to Emma, of Thermomix fame, who ran the activity, helped by Avril and Lesley.

About 20 children, aged between 4 and 13, joined us to make their own supper. First they made pizza dough in the Thermomix, then they prepared their ingredients and added their toppings. The potentially frustrating wait for the pizza to cook was helped by the children making their own fresh lemonade drink, again in the Thermomix.

Our thanks too to the parents/carers—the plan was for them to sit outside with a free cup of tea or coffee but we hadn’t planned for torrential rain. So they squeezed in the shop, but were rewarded with slices of pizza once cooked!
